This Nigerian team is soo strange , they have proved to be a leading force in the olympic teams n Youth teams but once these young talents grow up things change 360 degrees.
Now Nigeria is even takin steps backward in the leadership of African football giving Ivory coast , Ghana n Egypt the lead.

nigeria is a strong and organised team and took my respect and mae only one silly mistake wich lead to de maria goal after a marvelous through pass from messi who skipped one time only but it can enough to make de maria score and take the olympic golden medal

the issue that we have to discuss is why this strong nigerian team after 1 or 2 years will be nothing except a normal african team and the lead goes to EGYPT,ghanaand ivory coast???

well Sergio Batista had the weapons that helped him achieve his technical plans ahmed , having a striker partner ship of Messi n Aguero with even a player like Lavazzi on the bench will always make any coach's life easier.
he had also experience and leadership in his midfield in Riquelme and he used 2 of the backbone of The Argentinian 1st team midfield in Gago n Mascherano.
Argentine did deserve the gold medal but we must all hail the african achievment of 3 teams in the final 8 and once again a team in the final.

not as what was expected b4 the tournament that Mascherano will be the leading player in Argentine's midfield but after what we saw i must agree Gago was the connector and the best in Argentina's midfield.

i missed the game, i hoped the green eagles would do it again like atlanta 96 with kanu and ockocha.

there is no explanation for why teams like nigeria, cameroon, ghana do so good in the youth tournments and fail in the WC.... Maybe because after achieving they get what the want money and fame, cause all of them had hard begginings

only Nigerian player who was over age was Odomwingie and the rest of the team were under 23.
Anichebe was very good although he didnt start most of the games and always came as a substitute but he always gave addition , he was about 2 score from his 1st touch 2day at the match but he got unlucky.
Obasi who had a great game against Belgium didnt play 2day and he was one of the impressive players in the Green Eagles this tournament and i think the team rly missed him 2day.

i didnt watch the game so i cant judge any team, i ll try to watch a replay
