PostSubject: Milan - Bologna Match Preview   Milan - Bologna Match Preview EmptyFri Aug 29, 2008 2:29 am

Serie A Week 1 - 31/8/08
Milan - Bologna
San Siro

Milan and Bologna could have different targets this season but both sides are having one target when they face each other in San Siro is to win and get the first 3 points in the season.

Milan:

After finishing 5th last season, Milan have to prove something as the fans were schoked and couldn't believe that Milan won't enter the CL next season as the Rossoneri always impress in the CL. Milan were very active in the transfer market this season strengthing their squad with no less than 5 players.

There will be a pressure from the fans on the new signings but no one can deny that there will be alot of pressure on Ronaldinho the biggest signing for il Diavolo this season as the Rossoneri fans are waiting to see him returning to his excellent form.

Also there will be pressure on Carlo Ancelotti as Milan's Vice-President Adriano Galliani has stressed that Carlo is excpected to win the Scudetto.
Milan had a confusing pre-season campaign ,including a 5-0 humiliation at the hands of Chelsea and a 4-1 win over Juventus, This didn't indicate how strong is Milan side but the fans are optimistic that Milan is going to start the season with a win.

Bologna:

Newly promoted side Bologna who finished 2nd in Serie B will try to clinch at least one point from San Siro.Bologna has been relegated since 2005 and will fight this season to secure a place in Serie A.Coach Daniele Arrigoni has built a solid, rather than spectacular side, whose success last term was based on a miserly defence.

Marco Di Vaio was the biggest addition to squad but also there is a good addition in the midfield as Sergio Volpi.Arrigoni is yet to prove himself at the highest level but he is a wily tactician and will hope to frustrate more illustrious opposition. Bologna certainly won’t take a gung-ho approach to their trip to San Siro and it could be time for a heroic rearguard.

Milan (possible):Abbiati; Zambrotta, Senderos, Kaladze, Jankulovski; Gattuso, Pirlo, Ambrosini; Seedorf, Ronaldinho, Pato

Bologna (possible):Antonioli; Zenoni, Castellini, Britos, Lanna; Coelho, Volpi, Mudingayi, Valiani; Marazzina, Bernacci

Players to watch (Milan):Ronaldinho-News of the former FIFA World Player of the Year’s arrival caused frenzy in Milan. Can Dinho return to his brilliant best?

Prediction:
New Milan signings will try to assure that they were decent signings as the fans are going to see them for the first time playing an official match on San Siro.Milan will have a strong desire to win and they have a better chance than Bologna as the match is in San Siro.

Milan 3 - 1 Bologna.

1st official test for Milan after a disappointin Pre season

can say that Milan got an easy draw unlike the other big 4 with Inter facin 'doria at Stadio Ferraris n Juve takin on Fiorentina at Stadio Franchi n Roma hostin Napoli.

will Pato n Dinho start from the begginin ??
they didnt spend much time trainin with Milan this pre season caue of the olympics.

Kaka will be a major loss for Milan n also Nesta is

i hope Bologna can snatch a draw here.

Yeah it's a blow to lose Kaka. I wish Ronaldinho could start the match cuz he is the only one who could replace him.

I don't get your point !! You mean that the Champion of the league must lose many games inorder to let the league be a tough one?!! lol!.
How could a team win the league ?? by losing matches?! lool.
As for Fiorentina, try not to be so confident that you will beat them, Fiorentina is a tough side and will cause u many troubles as ur defence isn't that good to play against Mutu and Gilardino or Pazzini.

classy reply Amr , ur startin 2 get into this forums mood Wink

and at least in Italy we see many teams compete for the Scudetto n the title race ends at the final stage like last season , unlike the Bundesliga where once in 10 years a team win it other than Bayern n they consider it a surprise as well.
plus Bayern always win it 4 or 5 weeks b4 the end
and plz Kareem try 2 save urself the humiliation n embaressemnt u can get if u r goin 2 think that u can compare Calcio with Bundesliga.
