Match card : Newcastle vs Bolton
Stadium : St. James Park
Date : Sat. August the 23rd
Time : 14.00 GMT

Newcastle began their season with an outstanding point gained against Champions Manchester United. New signing Jonas Gutierrez was by far the player that shone brightest in an exceptional display for his first Premiership game. The midfielder nicknamed ‘Spiderman’ got forward a lot and Newcastle looked very threatening thanks to his great performance. Hopefully, when the Magpies strikeforce is back in action from injury, they will be able to compete with the likes of Villa, to finish in the top five.

Bolton found it too easy to get past new-boys Stoke City in their opening day encounter, winning the game 3-1. The Trotters seemed very menacing going forward, which is a complete change from their attitude last season where they would just try and scrap a goal. I don’t believe last weekends performance can be looked that deep into yet for Bolton and Newcastle will provide somewhat of a challenge for Wanderers.

As much as Newcastle looked great against Man Utd, Bolton will also have a lot of confidence after winning their game comfortably. I think if anyone is to end up winning this game it will be the Magpies, however Bolton are capable of holding out for a point. Expect an entertaining game and a draw as an outcome.

The good start newcastle had 4 the season at old trafford may be positive or negative , the players shouldnt get carried away or else it will be negative and it can be positive cause the players definatly got a good boost and confidence and if they keep on the same performance Bolton wont be that big problem.

Bolton also had a good start after capturin a win but i think Newcastle got what it takes to walk out with the 3 points , i hope Jonas Guitarrez can carry on what he did against Man utd and Coloccini is a great addition to the defence.

Not 2 forget that owen is set to make his come back but not sure if he will make the start or not.

ma predictions : Newcastle 3 - 1 Bolton

a good start at the st. James Park and we got a very hard 3 points
it was a very difficult one and if it wasn't for Given's great save for the penalty we could have seen another scenario.
Jonas gave another good performance and the defence look much more confident and only mistake that was commited was a handball that cause the penalty.
we missed many chances but it was good 2 see Owen's comeback with a goal

newcastle can have a place in europe next year if they continue like this, and can secure 5-6 place easily. but their problem is that they start strongly but then slepp in the moddle and then wake up lately

I dont think that the problem is in keepin the performances , it's about bein away of injuries and this has been The magpies problem for the last years.
