Podolski Shocker: I Shouldn't Have Signed For Bayern!

Lukas Podolski has admitted to being increasingly concerned that signing for Bayern Munich was a bad career move.

Still widely perceived as Germany's golden boy, the young forward had hoped that this season would be different from last, when he had to settle for a near permanent place on the Bayern bench. So far that has not been the case, however.

In a recent interview with the 'Bild', the 23-year-old vented his frustration in a manner which makes it hard to argue that his relationship with the club's brass has reached a new low.

"I wouldn't have had I known that things were going to turn out like this," was Podolski's frank response when asked whether he still would have signed for Bayern had he been able to foresee what was in store for him in Munich.

"I'm not complaining though. I'm just not happy with the situation," he insisted.

Bayern director Uli Hoeness recently suggested that the ex 1.FC Koeln star needs a good kick in the butt, to which 'Prince Poldi' responded: "Why would he need to kick my behind? I've barely played at all this season, so it's not like I've been under-performing."

When pressed on whether he would consider a move abroad, Podolski replied: "Everything is possible."

He added: "I would be a bad footballer if I contented myself by sitting on the bench.

"I could tolerate it if it was a case of two or three weeks, but there comes a point when one has to draw the line and say: 'This is too much! I'm not making any progress here.' That's just human nature."

even if they have great players at the same position , they just sign him 2 weaken his team.

i totally agree with you they are killi the bundesliga.

by the way mahdy this is al ahlys strategy also nd ii think you support al ahly

nd by the way podolsky took his chances last season he played 41 matches scorin 10 goals which is not good enough nd the season before he played 32 matches scoring 7 goals so we gave him chances but he wasnt good enough plus toni nd klose are way better than him

at the begginin of the sentence u said Bayern is a big team then at the end u said Bayern is one of the worst teams in the world

i mean a big team in name and history but a bad team in stratgy...

lukas podolski is a great player that cannot for a reason i don't seem to understand cope with bayern with germany he is the best better than klose but with bayern he sucks but i believe with klinsmann things will change he was the one who discovered him and he was the one who convinced him to stay but i think its a shame to bad mouth ur team this way specially if its the best in the world i guess mahdinho its not inter stragey its ahly ofcourse but u guys ain't much diff. u spend way to much money trying to be like arsenal " a star discoverer " and u will never be

na mahdy podolski is supposed to be a good player but he doesnt perform well in bayern he performs with germany but with bayern he is bullshit

3 of them used 2 play at Inter at that time : Andreas Brehme , Lothar Matthäus n Jürgen Klinsmann
dont forget Oliver Bierhoff also , used 2 play for Udinese n Milan.

luca toni nd oddo now are playin in bayern i dont think that any italian player will be ready to go to any team in the bundesliga except bayern

BTW Barzagli n Zaccardo both plays for Wolfsburg now n both of them r better than Oddo 4 sure.
