Liverpool Trial 14-Year-Old

Liverpool academy have offered teenage Danish defender Marcus Sondergaard a week-long trial.

Needles to say the 14-year-old Greve IF starlet is ecstatic at the chance to ultimately earn a deal at one of the world's most storied clubs.

“It is a great dream that is coming true.” Sondergaard told Ekstra Bladet.

“I never thought a huge club like Liverpool would be tracking me.” he added.

"The facilities they have are very professional. In the long term I can see myself moving abroad."

Liverpool's Danish scout Jimmy Hansen unearthed the talent and is confident that he will be able to make a lasting impression.

"I have followed Marcus for a year now," Hansen was quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"He is a very skilled defender who knows how to hold his position and is good at reading the game."
