PostSubject: Cazorla’s Madrid Move Set In Motion   Wed Aug 27, 2008 9:13 am

Real Madrid’s attempt to move in for Villarreal winger Santiago Cazorla has been set in motion after a series of events that took place yesterday.

Just hours after Spanish sports journal Marca broke the news that Real Madrid were interested in signing Spanish International Santiago Cazorla, the player along with his current club, Villarreal, have moved quickly to clear the air.

The Yellow Submarine was reported to have scheduled a meeting with the winger yesterday to find out first hand what the situation is and although the details of the conversation are yet unknown, sources at the club did reveal that they are uncertain about the 23 year old’s future at El Madrigal at this stage.

In addition, following the end of a training session yesterday, Cazorla was caught by a TV camera from Valencia’s Canal 9 speaking on the telephone to a friend, believed to be Madrid’s own Iker Casillas. The chat naturally centred on his possible move to the Bernabéu and Cazorla also disclosed to Iker that he had already contacted David Villa to enquire about his own potential switch to Los Merengues.

And now according to Sport, Cazorla is eager to meet with his agent Julio Llorente to find out the details of any possible offers the capital giants may have made so far. Cazorla has a buy out clause of €16 million in his contract, roughly the same amount as another Madrid target, Diego Capel.
