well i can see portsmouth better in midfield considerin the absence of Carrick and Hargreaves and this was the case that led to the draw in the community shield cause Pompeys were better in midfield.
But the return of Tevez will add somethin to the red devils attack 4 sure , the creativity they lacked against The Magpies
it's better that Man utd doesnt get into a physical game into this one cause they wont be able 2 run Portsmouth in strength or fitness for a 90 minutes but definatly Man utd has the advantage in a technical game

i predict a hard 1-0 win for portsmouth

this will be a good match but if man unt wants to win the match they have to attack magpies from the begaining as if portsmouth controled the midfiled they will control the game as they are better in fitness as they will have a very big advantage as man unt has alot if injuirs as the big bomb ronaldo i think the match will be difficulte for both sides.

well they have a stronger midfield in stamina,speed,strenght but not in playmaking..only kranjckar can pass and move the ball forward to their attacking defoe and crouch, who both are not in a good form ,esp crouch, and cant play a decent game against vidic and ferdinand.

tevez and rooney will both play and can be decisive..both are fast and can get through the pompey's defence which can be easy to penetrate.

portsmouyh only key is freekicks and corners, while if manchester can stop the ball from reaching karnkar and thus not reaching the strikers..and tevez and rooney use their speed. it can be an easy game for manchester. one problem manchester have is the lack of winger which manchestre use vree good ronaldo and nani are both injured and giggs cant to the job alone.

i predict rooney to be in top form in this match and will be the key to victory

Squad swelling for Pompey

Sir Alex Ferguson is hopeful that his squad will be boosted by the return of a handful of key players in time for Monday evening's trip to Portsmouth.

Carlos Tevez, who missed last weekend's draw with Newcastle after a family bereavement, will play after featuring for Argentina on Wednesday, giving United a vital extra body in attack.

There is also a chance that Owen Hargreaves and Ryan Giggs could be in contention after training this week, while Anderson will return this weekend from Brazil's Olympic team.

Ji-sung Park has also taken great strides in recent days, and has played a full part in training all week, but the trip to Fratton Park will come too soon for him.

"Tevez is back," Sir Alex told his pre-match press conference. "He’s available. Hargreaves and Ji-sung Park both trained with the first team this week, I’m delighted with that. Ji won’t be considered, Hargreaves we’ll assess on Sunday to see if he can play a part.

"Anderson will be back on Sunday, so that’s an extra body. Giggs has trained the last couple of days, plus all the players have come back from internationals fit, which is a bonus, so we’re ok in that respect."

The United manager also confirmed that Michael Carrick and Cristiano Ronaldo are on schedule for their own returns from injury - three weeks and three months respectively.

well Portsmouth defence is slow but way much experienced and strong , they gave a good performance in the community shield against ur attackin duo cause they were good in man marking but 1 man caused them problems which is Nani cause he is fast when he comes from behind and on monday u wont have Nani or Ronaldo , the kind of a winger who can cause problems with his speed and skills so u must find another key 2 break their defence.

as for playmakin in Pompeys and Krajncar well he aint their only weapon , Crouch is a giant and good in air balls so definatly Portsmouth will push from the wings

well if hargreaves can be back he will definatly be an addition so that Fletcher can move on the wing

i think it will be another disappointment 4 the devils there is no creation in the attack no play maker and they will suffer alot from counter attack
i think another excitment draw 2-2
