Official: Genoa Re-Sign Milito, Loan JankovicGenoa have swooped to sign former hero Diego Milito from Real Zaragoza, while Palermo’s Bosko Jankovic has also arrived on loan.
Argentine striker Milito has already played for Genoa earlier in his career, and is remembered as something of a hero, after scoring 33 goals in just 59 games between 2003 and 2005.
He left for Zaragoza in 2005, where he established himself as one of the best goalscorers plying his trade in La Liga.
However, the 29-year-old has been almost certain to leave La Romareda this summer following Zaragoza’s shock relegation last season and, he has rejoined his old club Genoa for a reported fee of €8m, signing a three year contract at the Stadio Ferraris.
Meanwhile, Genoa have also snapped up Palermo’s Bosko Jankovic on loan, and they have acquired the rights to sign half of the midfielder’s contract should they choose.
The Serbian was rated as one of the best young talents in Europe when he joined Palermo from Mallorca last summer, however he struggled to settle in Sicily, and will be hoping that a move to Genoa will kick-start his career again.
