Muntari to miss Milan Tuesday 16 September, 2008

Inter midfielder Sulley Muntari has been handed a three-game ban for lashing out at Catania midfielder Giacomo Tedesco and misses the Milan derby.
There were heated scenes at San Siro as Muntari saw red for hitting Tedesco in the face while trying to shake the Etnei man off.
The Nerazzurri players surrounded Tedesco and vehemently protested that he had playacted but Muntari was still sent off.
After the game, Jose Mourinho argued the Ghanaian international's innocence, but the Disciplinary Commission has supported referee Antonio Damato.
“In the 45th minute of the first half when play had stopped, Muntari hit an opponent with his hand on the turn and struck him a blow in the mouth,” sporting judge Gianpaolo Tosel stated.
Muntari will now miss out on the Milan derby on September 28 as well as games against Torino and Lecce.
