Jose Frustrated After Careless Draw

Manuel Jose, the Al-Ahly boss, has slammed his players after the draw against Zamalek in the African Champions league…

The Portuguese tactician said in the press conference following the match that he expected an underperformance from his players.

“I was sure that my team wouldn’t give their best in the match, as they weren’t into the game”, said Jose.

Even though Al-Ahly guaranteed qualification, Jose wanted his players to perform better.

“I don’t know why my players were nervous? Vice versa, Zamalek should have been worried as their situation in the group is bumpier”, added Jose.

The 56-year-old then concluded by saying that the game, which ended 2-2, was the worst he has ever led in the past four years.
